DescriptionMogg and Company Pearling Grounds was founded in Broome in the 1880s. They employed Chinese cooks to work on their pearling ships in the late 1880s.
Before 1889 it was a partnership between S. G. Green, of Sydney, and Walter R. Mogg, of Broome. They traded as Pearlers under the name of Mogg & Co.
The company was dissolved in 1889 and, from that date, the company consisted of Mogg and his partner J. Clark who operated as Traders and Pearlers using the schooner "Sagitta" and luggers.
