Biographical informationLeopold Arthur Von Bibra was born on 26 October 1858 to Francis Lewis Von Bibra and Elizabeth. On 9 June 1891 he married Elizabeth Frances Courthope. Their daughter , Elizabeth Bertha Von Bibra was born in 1892. At 17 years old he travelled to the north west to work in the pearling industry. He became a coastal trader using his cutter Hampton, and was the first to land goods at Carnarvon on 4 July 1877. He was a storekeeper and agent at Wooramel Station. He traded in sandalwood and employed Ah Tong (8), Chou Jum Chu, and Lo Yu Kwong . In 1902 he became part owner of Mardathune Station. He was Mayor of Carnarvon and bought the local aerated water factory in 1905. He died 10 September 1915.Date of birth26 October 1858Date of death10 September 1915
