YOUNG AH SHING

Description

Biographical informationYoung Ah Shing was born in about 1863 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1895. He was five feet seven and a half inches in height.

He worked as a market gardener at Perth in 1900. He worked as a cook and lived at 173 Newcastle Street, Perth, in 1913 (E).

Applied for a Certificate to return to the Colony in 1901. May have travelled to China in June 1901 on the SS Sultan and may have brought his son with him when he returned.
