Biographical informationYou Ging was born in June 1864 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1895. He was over five feet six inches in height.

You Ging lived in America from 1891 to 1895 before coming to Western Australia. His wife remained in China.

In 1898 he was a partner in a laundry in Roe Street, Perth (C). In 1912 he was recorded as working in the You Lee Laundry, 169 Albany Highway, Victoria Park (E).
