Biographical informationYock Lunn Charles Soong was born in about 1884 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1899. He was five feet six inches in height. He was the husband of Wee Shin Yocklunn.
He worked as a market gardener and orchardist in Toodyay in 1916 (B).
He had at least one child: Soong Chung Yock Lunn, born in China in 1933. In 1948 he was living with his mother in Oliver Street, Northam. At just 15 he was already fluent in English, Chinese, French and German. He acted as interpreter in the 1948 stabbing legal case prosecuted by Lee Lee Chong.
Yock Lunn Charles Soong travelled overseas from February 1933 to August 1934 (D).
