Description

Biographical informationYee You (aka Yee Yean & Yee Yon) was born in about 1859 in Canton, China. He migrated to to Western Australia in September 1886. He was five feet five and a quarter inches in height. He was probably a brother of Yee Ah Chan.

He was a partner in See Sing & Co. Roebourne, in 1899 (C). In 1905 and 1916 he was recorded as a shop keeper in Carnarvon Street, Broome (B). He worked for Broome branch of See Sing & Co. that became known as Jock Sign & Co.
