Biographical informationWoon Ack Quay was born in about 1880 in Canton, China. He migrated to Victoria, Australia in 1898.

He worked as a cabinet maker in Melbourne in 1916. He moved to Perth, Western Australia, in 1917 and worked on Ah Young's market garden in Osborne Park until he was employed in William Singe's furniture factory in Roe Street, Perth (B).
