Biographical informationWong Toy (1) was born in April 1862 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in February 1897.
He lived at Perth from 1897 to 1907, at Albany from 1907 to 1913 and at Geraldton from 1913 to 1919. In 1916 he was recorded as working as a kitchen man at the Railway Hotel, Geraldton. He moved to South Perth in 1919 and was employed in the Windsor Hotel.
He was fined £3 in October 1917 for 'Being Found in a Gaming House'. A charge for the same offence was withdrawn in August 1918 (B).
