Biographical informationWong Peter (aka Huang Ju Tsun) migrated to Australia in 1886 and moved to Western Australia in 1899.
He worked as a market gardener in South Perth. By 1951 he was one of the last Chinese market gardeners working a market garden along Suburban Road on the South Perth foreshore. His market garden was between Coode Street and Olive Street (so either Lot 10 or 11 or both). In 1951 his market garden was served an eviction notice, part of an effort to clear the South Perth foreshore for redevelopment (the actual redevelopment only came decades later).
