Biographical informationWong Nam was born in August 1864 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in October 1888. He was five feet six inches in height. His wife and two children remained in Canton.
In 1903, Wong Nam leased a house and land in Carnarvon Street, Broome, and worked as a goldsmith (A).
He travelled overseas five times: July 1903 to August 1904; January 1907 to July 1908; January 1911 to August 1913; January 1918 to October 1919; and January 1922 to October 1924 (D).
He traveled from Broome to Hong Kong in February 1927 aboard the SS Minderoo and is believed to have returned to China permanently.
