WONG MON SING

Biographical informationWong Mon Sing (aka Wong Song) was born on 22nd October 1863 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in September 1883 (date on War Reg.) or December 1893 (date on 1903 CoD). He was five feet three inches in height.

He was a partner and cabinet maker in a furniture factory of Lee Yick in Murray Street, Perth, and owned property at Maylands in 1903 (A). He was the owner of a furniture factory at 77 Charles Street, Perth, in 1906. In 1908 he managed the Mon Sing furniture factory in Mounts Bay Road, Perth (F). He was recorded as working as a French polisher living at 136 Fitzgerald Street, Perth, in 1916 (B).
