Biographical informationWong Goon (aka Ping Kee) was born in July 1875 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1898.
He worked in the Chong Lim shop, Geraldton, from 1913 to 1918 when he moved to Perth and was employed as a labourer by Kwong Hong Shing, Lake Street, Perth. In 1919 he worked as a market gardener for See Ling at Osborne Park.
He was fined £2 in October 1917 and £3 in November 1917 for 'Being Found in a Gaming House' in Geraldton. He was fined £20 and £30 in August 1918 and £30 in September 1918 for 'Keeping a Gaming House'.
