Biographical informationWong Bong was born in Canton, China in July 1875. He migrated to Western Australia in October 1886. He was about five feet three inches in height.
He worked as a cook residing in Carnarvon Street, Broome, and Darwin for at least 21 years (1908 to 1929) and later at Darwin, Northern Territory (1929 to 1941) (E).
He travelled overseas six times: 1) December 1908 to June 1910; 2) January 1914 to June 1915; 3) January 1919 to July 1920; 4) January 1923 to August 1924; 5) February 1929 to November 1930; 6) December 1933 to July 1936 (D).
