TIE YICK

Description

Biographical informationTie Yick was born on the 6 April 1876 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1896. He was five feet nine inches in height. His wife and two children remained in China.

He worked as a market gardener: at Bayswater from 1896-1897; at West Perth from 1897-1899; at Osborne Park from 1899-1914; at West Guildford from 1918-1927; and Bayswater from 1929 to 1934 (G).

He travelled overseas four times: June 1909 to May 1911; June 1914 to November 1917; February 1927 to December 1928; and January 1934 to December 1936 (D).
