Biographical informationTie Gow (aka Tie Dou) was born in about 1863 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1884. He was five feet six and half inches in height.

He worked as a cook in Geraldton in 1902 (A). He was recorded as a produce merchant at Perth in 1909 and a market gardener in Green Street, Osborne Park, in 1916 (B).
