Biographical informationTie Gam was born February 1871 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1893. He was about five feet nine inches in height.
He worked on Tie Yick's market garden, Osborne Park, in 1913 (E). In 1916 he was market gardening at South Bunbury. He moved to Bayswater in 1921 (B).
Tie Gam travelled overseas twice: October 1913 to August 1915 (recorded incorrectly as Lie Gam); and May 1924 to August 1926 (D).
Later in life he stayed at the Claremont Old Mens' Home (later Sunset Hospital).
