Biographical informationMerchant in Singapore before he arrived in WA to work as a shepherd in the Roebourne area. Wife remained in China or Singapore. He gave his religion as Catholic. In August 1890 he was admitted to the Lunatic Asylum from Roebourne and it was claimed that his 'madness [was] due to pecuniary losses'. The Colonial Secretary authorised the payment of £7 16s 2d in Teh Nah's bank account to the Asylum to pay for his maintenance. In September 1896 he was transferred to the Straits Settlements Asylum.
