Biographical informationSun Cheong Shing (aka Sun Chang Shing) was born in November 1866 in Canton, China. He migrated to Darwin, Northern Territory in 1886 and moved to Western Australia in 1902. He was five feet four and a half inches in height.
He moved between Darwin and Broome. In 1904 he was working as a tailor and leasing premises for a tailoring shop in Carnarvon Street, Broome (lot 389 valued at £150), from 1902 to 1921 (B). He also had a half share in a store at Port Darwin valued at £800.
