Biographical informationSoong Kee was born in July 1883 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in January 1899. He was five feet three and three quarter inches in height.

He worked as a laundryman at the Hop War Laundry, 63 Point Street, Fremantle, in 1916. He moved to the Wing Kee Laundry, Bannister Street, Fremantle, in 1918 and Sing Kee Laundry at 97 South Terrace, Fremantle, in 1919.
