Biographical informationSing Tong was born in October 1866 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1887. He was five feet four inches in height.
When he first arrived he worked for Maurice Davies in Karridale in 1887 as a labourer (possibly indentured).
He shared the lease of a market garden at Bayswater in 1902. He worked at Osborne Park in 1914 and in Mary Street, Bayswater, in 1917. In 1919 he worked on Ah Hoey's market garden in Leederville.
