Biographical informationSing Di (aka Sing Dee) was born in August 1867 in Canton, China. He migrated to Australia in 1887 and moved to Western Australia in 1896. He was five feet five and a quarter inches in height.
He worked as a market gardener in Fremantle in 1910 (E). He was registered as a cook at the Katanning Hotel in 1917 before working as a market gardener for Ah Ling in Guildford Road, Victoria Park, in 1918. In 1919 he moved to Ah Sing's market garden in Joel Terrace, Mount Lawley (B).
