Biographical informationPhu Bem In (符文恩) (aka Pew Ban Yiu) was born in about 1854 in Bun Sio (Hailam) [Hainan Island], China (文昌縣). He migrated to Western Australia in June 1887.
He was recruited in Singapore to work as a general servant and cook under contract to C. Conway, location unrecorded [but likely to be Mount Marmion Station, Derby], for two years at S$13 per month.
