Biographical informationOng Heng Goat (王興月) was born in about 1857 in Chiu Pho (Hokkien), China (漳浦). He migrated to Western Australia in January 1887.
He was recruited in Singapore to work as a carpenter under contract to Neil Galbraith, Cossack, for two years at S$18 per month.
When he applied for naturalisation in July 1890, he was a carpenter and market gardener in Broome. His application for naturalisation was refused.
In February 1892, he and Su Sang were found guilty of housebreaking and stealing a cheque for £5 15s Od. He was sentenced to five years imprisonment at Broome on 27 April 1892 (C).Other nameOng Heng Goat (differentiated name)王興月Date of birth1857
