Louey John migrated to Western Australia in 1887.

Between 1896 and 1901 he worked as a market gardener at Wellington Street, West Perth on land leased from William Clements.

He applied for permission to have his wife and child (aged 15) enter Western Australia in 1901. The reply to his application stated that 'under Section 7 of the "Immigration Restriction Act, 1897", wives and children are not debarred from entering State' (G).Other nameLouey J (differentiated name)
