Biographical informationLim Ah was born in December 1851 in Amoy [Xiamen], China. He migrated to Western Australia in March 1890.

He worked as a labourer at Katanning then Broomehill in 1916. He moved to Perth in 1917 and worked on market gardens in Fremantle and on Ah Gooey's market garden in North Perth.
