Biographical informationLew Sham (aka Sham Lew) was born in August 1869 or 1872 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in July 1892. He was five feet six inches in height "in his boots".
He worked as a market gardener in Sanford Road, Albany, in 1913 (E). He moved to Lee Tong's market garden, Wellington Street, Perth, in 1917 then to Narrogin in 1918. He returned to Albany in 1919 (B).
He travelled overseas between April 1913 and June 1915 (D).
