Biographical informationLee Toong Shing was born in September 1882 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1900. He was five feet six and a half inches in height.

He worked as a tea merchant at 355 Murray Street, Perth, from at least 1912 to 1918 when he moved to Lake Street, Perth, and was recorded as a 'chemist'.

In April 1918 he was fined £5 for 'Using Rooms in which to Run a Lottery' (B).
