Biographical informationLee Mee was born in August 1875 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1898 or 1900. He was five feet one and a quarter inches in height.
He worked as a market gardener in Duke Street, West Perth, from at least 1907 to 1912. In 1916, he worked in Norfolk Street, Leederville, from February to June 1921 he was employed at Ah Moy's Market Garden in Charles, Street, North Perth, before being employed by Jas Spearis at Wanneroo.
He travelled overseas five times: November 1907 to April 1909; June 1914 to July 1916; February 1918 to January 1920; April 1925 to April 1928; and March 1934 to November 1937 (extension granted).
