Biographical informationLee Ling (2) was born in August 1867 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1888. He was just over five feet five inches in height.

He worked as a market gardener at Osborne Park in 1908 and in Vincent Street, Leederville, in 1916. He moved to a market garden in Drake Street, Bayswater, in 1918 then to Osborne Park in 1920 (B).
