LEE HONG (2)

Description

Biographical informationLee Hong was born in October 1867 in Canton, China. He migrated to Australia in January 1900. He was five foot two in height. He was almost certainly the elder brother of Lee Hong (4) because they look almost identical, have similar handprints and a similar scar above their left eyes. However, they are not the same person because they both travelled to different destinations at the same time in 1907.

In 1902 Lee Hong (2) held the lease on a market garden in Perth. He was working as a market gardener on Lee Chong's market garden in Kensington Street, East Perth, in 1916. He moved to Kong Hop Lee's market garden in South Perth in 1918 then to Wong Toong's market garden, Bayswater, in 1919. In 1921 he was working in Charles Street, North Perth.

He travelled overseas twice: April 1902 to 28th March 1903; April 1906 and August 1907.
