Biographical informationLee Hie (aka Lee Hi) was born in about August 1874 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1897. He was around five feet four inches in height.
He worked as a market gardener at Osborne Park in 1911. In 1916, he was market gardening in Havelock Street, West Perth, and in 1924, on Hing War's market garden in Newcastle Street, Perth (E).
He was fined five shillings in September for 'Breaches of the Bylaws' (B).
Lee Hie travelled overseas six times: April 1911 to June 1912; May 1915 to July 1916; March 1919 to August 1920; February 1924 to July 1925; March 1928 to April 1930; and December 1934 to September 1937 (D).
