Biographical information
Land James was born in April 1872 in Hainan, China. He migrated to Western Australia in January 1897.
Between 1916 and 1920, he worked as a steward, kitchenman or cook in various clubs and hotels in Perth, including the Weld Club.
In June 1919, he was fined 20 shillings for 'Being Found in a Gaming House' (B).
