Biographical informationKum Chew was born in Canton on 3rd November 1870. He arrived in Australia in 1891. He married Alice Rosetta Clements in 1907. He worked as a cabinet maker for J. W. Wing Ltd, 235-237 Newcastle St, Perth, and was living in Hobart Street, North Perth, in 1916 (N). He is remembered as a precision knife thrower. He died in Perth in on 6 April 1925 and was buried in Karrakatta Cemetery (Section BA, Plot 0162). He has descendants still living in WA.
