Biographical informationKi Chong (aka Kie Chung) (啟祥) was born in December 1866 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1886. He was five feet eight inches in height.
Worked as a cook in Derby from at least 1910 to 1913. In 1916 he was market gardening in Roebourne, then Broome.
In December 1917, Ki Chong was fined 10 shillings for 'Being Found in a Gaming House' in Broome.
He moved to Hop Cheong's market garden, Beechboro Road, Bayswater, in 1921.
He travelled overseas four times: October 1904 to October 1905; April 1910 to November 1911; March 1914 to July 1916; and October 1919 to January 1921.
