Biographical informationKho Jeak I (aka Kho Jak I) (許若意) was born in about 1862 in Bun Sio, Hailam [Hainan Island], China (文昌縣). He migrated to Western Australia in June 1887.
He was recruited in Singapore to work as a general servant under contract to John Henry Monger for two years at S$12 per month.
