Biographical informationHong Wah was born in about 1868 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1901. He was five feet and four inches in height.

He worked as a laundryman at Gou Kee's laundry, Hampton Road, Fremantle, from at least 1908 until 1917, when the laundry closed (F). In 1926 he worked at the Wing Lee Laundry, South Terrace, Fremantle (E).
