Biographical informationHo Yen (2) was born in November 1873 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1897. He was five feet six inches in height.

He worked as a market gardener at Beechboro Road, Bayswater, in 1912.

He travelled overseas four times: June 1912 to June 1913; February 1916 to June 1917; March 1923 to March 1925; and March 1934 to February 1939 (CEDT extension granted).
