Biographical informationHo Buck was born in October 1887 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in August 1893.

He worked as a market gardener in Osborne Park in 1916. He moved to Yee Lee's market garden at Bibra Lake in 1917 then to a market garden on the corner of Havelock Street and Railway Parade, Perth, in 1918. [Hop Lee had a market garden on Havelock Street, possibly on the corner of Railway Parade].
