Biographical informationHay James was born in about 1872 in Chow Chiu, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1891. He was five feet six inches in height. He was single for his whole life.
He worked as a station hand on Brickhouse Station, Carnarvon, from at least 1916 to 1929 (E).
He travelled overseas between January and March 1918. He applied for a CEDT in 1929 but did not use it (D).
