Biographical informationGhi Twan was born in about 1871 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1887. He was just under five feet two inches in height.

He worked as a waiter at Broome in 1906 (E). He was employed as a boarding house keeper in Broome from ?1912 to 1918 (B).

He travelled overseas five times: January to December 1907; September 1909 to June 1911; May to November 1912; March to November 1913; and January 1914 to November 1915 (D).
