Biographical informationFong You (1) was born in August 1862 in China. He migrated to Western Australia in June 1886. He was five feet seven and a half inches in height.

He lived at Geraldton for 6 years (1886-1892), Perth for 7 years (1892-1900), Derby for 7 years (1900-1907), Geraldton & Broome (1908-1913) and Roebourne (1914-1916) for two years.

He worked as a cook at Geraldton in 1907, and at Broome in 1910. In 1916 he was registered as a cook at Roebourne (E).
