FONG HAM

Description

Biographical informationFong Ham (aka Fong Tam) was born in about 1863 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1888. He was five feet five inches in height. He was the uncle of Jock Sign.

He was an original partner and manager of the firm See Sing & Co., Roebourne. He returned to China in June 1899 to see his wife and mother and to conduct business for See Sing & Co (C). e He was partner with a half share in See Sing & Co., Roebourne, before travelling overseas in February 1903. He returned to Western Australia in April 1904 (A). He was recorded as a merchant in 1915 (E).
