Biographical informationDurley Lung (aka Dearly Loung) was born 14 March 1883 in Kong Moon [Jiangmen], China. He migrated to Australia in March 1901 (Sydney) and moved to Western Australia in 1902. He was five feet seven and a half inches in height.
He worked as a driver and carter for Ah Ling & Co., 127 Barrack Street, Perth, in 1916. In 1917 he worked as a market gardener in Lord Street, East Perth. In 1920, he moved to work at Chew Lung's (Chew Lun's) market garden at Bibra Lake.
He travelled overseas twice: April 1906 to July 1907; and February 1914 to July 1915.
He was fined 20 shillings in June 1919 for 'Being Found in a Gaming House'.
