Biographical informationDar Day was born in September 1887 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1900. He was five feet five and a half inches in height.
He worked as a shop assistant at Fremantle in 1911 and as a greengrocer for Hee Kee & Co., 10 South Terrace, Fremantle, in 1916. Moved to Adelaide in 1921.
