Biographical informationDang Chee was born in about 1868 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1889. He was five feet six and a half inches in height.

He worked as a merchant at Port Hedland from at least 1912 to 1916. He was recorded as a tailor in Carnarvon Street, Broome, from 1918 to 1931 (E).
