DAN YOOK LOON

Biographical informationDan Yook Loon was born in about 1867 in Kuang Chow [Guangzhou], China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1887 per S.S. Australind. He was five feet four inches in height. He may have been related to Quan Sing, Derby.

He worked as a cook at the Star Hotel, Broome in 1902. After this he was employed as cook by Streeter and Male Ltd on their station outside of Broome. He then worked as a cook at Derby, also for Streeter, from at least 1914 to 1917 (B).
