Biographical informationChung Yum was born in March 1878 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in October 1896. He was five feet six and half inches in height.

He shared the lease of a market garden in Perth in 1902 (A). He resided at 14 Barclay Street, West Perth, and worked as a vegetable hawker in 1916 (B).

He travelled overseas from March 1902 to March 1903.
