Biographical informationChung Jaw was born in October 1877 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1897. He was five feet six inches in height.

He owned property valued at £50 and leased a market garden at Perth before travelling overseas in April 1903. He returned in April 1905 (A).

He worked a market garden in Oxford Street, Leederville, in 1916 (B).
