Biographical informationChoong Toon was born in about 1869 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1900. He was five feet ten inches in height.

He worked as a market gardener at Osborne Park in 1915 (E). He later worked in Charles Street, Perth, in 1917 and at Maylands in 1919 (B).

He travelled overseas twice: April 1915 to June 1917; and February 1921 to June 1922 (D).
