Biographical informationChin Yow was born in about 1869 in Canton, China. He migrated to Western Australia in 1884. He was five feet three inches in height.

He worked as a market gardener and cook at Roebourne from at least 1911 to 1918 (B).

He travelled overseas twice: April 1911 to October 1912; and October 1915 to May 1917.
